Share The Good News

Do you ever ask God to reveal things about yourself that He might not like? I do. I firmly believe that this should be a daily occurrence in the life of a believer. Not only does this bring what’s dark into light, but, if we work on the things that God shows us and remove those things from our lives, our faith is strengthened in Him and we can worship Him better.

I am the queen of telling people about my personal life, including things about my marriage. I don’t know why I do this, but it’s something I’m working on because of what God told me about this fault; “And besides they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not (1 Tim 5:13).” I don’t want to be a gossip. I want to please my Father in Heaven more than I desire anything else, so I have to stop doing this thing that displeases Him. LORD, strengthen me and help me to get this sin out of my life.

What exactly does God want us to share with the world? Mark 16:15 says, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” That’s the news we ought to be sharing with everyone. There is nothing more important than Jesus Christ and He commands us to go share the gospel with every single creature in this world! I never thought to share Jesus with my dogs, but guess what’s going to happen later??? Jesus is the good news. He is more important than my marriage and my personal issues. If I respect Him enough to share Him instead of my problems, my life will be blessed. My marriage will flourish and my health will be strengthened.

Paul shared the gospel from prison and he said that the Jesus in him is much greater than the spirit of the world, which is Satan. I can attest that it is so easy to share Christ when we’re shouting from the top of a mountain, but, no matter if you’re in the valley or on the hill, tell people about Jesus Christ, your LORD and Savior. People need to hear it. People need to be reminded that He is coming again soon and we ought to be watchful and ready. “…and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding and the door was shut (Mat 25:10).”

When Jesus comes back, there will be a wedding and a huge feast that we’ll get to attend if we’re ready. Let’s plant seeds of faith in people instead of filling them with idle chatter. God loves gardening and He takes great care with each seed that’s planted. Look how beautiful you’ve turned out! Make the love Jesus has for you much bigger and better than anything in the world and let’s have the grandest wedding feast we’ve ever seen in our entire lives! Be blessed this week, friend.
